The Barbados parliament building area consists of two buildings, the East Wing and West Wing of Parliament. The East Wing parliament building was built and completed in 1872 and the West Wing in 1873; in 2011 they were designated as UNESCO protected buildings under the World Heritage Site of Historic Bridgetown and the Garrison areas.
